Sunday June 16: National Mens Ministries Day
Every year on Father’s Day we encourage you to give thanks for the godly men or father figures in your life.
"Honoring the men in our lives is absolutely critical," says Dan Kersten, Men's Ministries Communications Director. "Honor and respect really do touch a man deeply and help him realize the importance of his involvement in the family, the church, and community. Father's Day is a great opportunity to do that for more men other than our earthly fathers."
On National Men's Ministries Day, we also emphasize the importance of ministry to men in the family, church, and community. Only about 10 percent of evangelical churches in the Untied States have a healthy ministry to men, yet 100 percent of churches would benefit greatly from having one.
"Ministry to Men Matters because men are vital to the health of the church and family," says Rick Allen, National Men's Director. "Spiritually strong and mature men will raise spiritually strong and mature families. This helps the church in ways nothing else will. I saw this in my years as a pastor. I also saw what happens when men are spiritually weak or immature. Ministry to Men Matters!"
To assist men and men's groups nationwide in evangelism, discipleship, and equipping men for service, we have made a large number of digital resources available for FREE. They are listed below.
360Equip: Building You Ministry To Men
We encourage men and their pastors to talk about starting a men's ministry in the church. There is a proven process that can be adapted to your church and local culture.
